Exciting IntelliMan Workshop at IEEE ICRA2024

On May 13th, the workshop “A-HUMAN – Advanced human-robot interfaces based on physiological signals and sensory stimulations” organized by Roberto Meattini, Valeria Villani, Lorenzo Sabattini, and Claudio Castellini, was hosted by the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation in PACIFICO Yokohama

**Workshop Objectives:**
Robotics is at the forefront of enhancing human-robot interaction. The workshop focused on the development of bi-directional human-robot interfaces based on physiological signals and sensory stimulations. These interfaces offer the potential for natural and intuitive control of robots, facilitating skill transfer and co-adaptation. However, challenges remain in reliability, decoding physiological measurements, synthesis of sensory stimulations, and designing adaptive systems. The latest advancements and perspectives in this field have been assessed.

**Invited Speakers:**
Esteemed speakers expert in robotics, neuroscience, and biomechanics were hosted:
– Marcie O’Malley, Rice University (USA)
– Dr. Sabine Thürauf, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (DE)
– John Chiodini, Delsys Incorporated (USA)
– Lorenzo Masia, Heidelberg University (DE)
– Alessandro Del Vecchio, University of Erlangen-Nurnberg (DE)
– Gionata Salvietti, University of Siena (IT)
– Minas Liarokapis, University of Auckland (NZ)
– Gordon Cheng, Technical University of Munich (DE)

**Workshop Topics:**
Explore a diverse range of topics including human-robot interfaces, machine learning, assistive robotics, haptics, telemanipulation, and more. Visit the workshop website:http://bit.ly/3wj6OCf
