In this article, I delve into the neuroscience of hand and grasp control, and how it can inspire the engineering of artificial hands that can interact with the human brain. I explain how the brain integrates different sensory modalities to control the hand, and how artificial hands can emulate and interface with these neural mechanisms. Unfortunately, there are still challenges in hand and grasp control research and open questions.
